About Us

Welcome to Express Yourself, where we use hip hop dance to make a positive impact on Rangatahi. Since 2018, we’ve been all about boosting the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of young ones through the magic of hip hop dance. Over the past 5 years, we’ve proudly helped over 5000 kids across 20 schools, working hand-in-hand with the community to spread the joy of dance.

Why Hip Hop Dance?

Hip hop dance isn’t just dancing; it’s a way for our Rangatahi to have fun, discover their strengths, and connect with others. Our program isn’t just about learning dance moves, it’s a journey that builds confidence and brings joy.

How We Help:

1. Feel Amazing:
Dancing with us makes our Rangatahi feel awesome. Learning and performing dance routines boosts confidence and self-belief.

2. Stay Active:
While our Rangatahi enjoy hip hop, they’re also getting a good workout. Hip hop dance isn’t just fun; it’s a cool way to stay fit.

3. Escape and Enjoy:
Express Yourself gives our Rangatahi a break from everyday challenges. It’s a chance to let go, have fun, and recharge emotionally.

Join the Fun:

Express Yourself is more than just dancing, it’s about making a difference in the lives of our Rangatahi. Whether you have 25 students or more, we’ve got programs for different ages and learning styles.

Where We’ve Been:

We’ve spread the joy to schools like Baileys Road Primary, Holy Trinity Primary, Park Estate Primary, Alfriston College, and more. Our mission is to work together with schools and communities to make a positive impact.

Meet the team!

Jordan Ikitule

Jordan has grown up in South Auckland and completed his schooling at Manurewa High.

He recently resigned from Westpac in the Corporate and Property Finance sector, leaving the banking industry just shy of 4 years to pursue his passion – to invest back into the community, especially in the next generation.

Jordan is also a board of trustee member at Roscommon Primary School, runs a barber shop, and is married with 2 kids of his own. With over 10 years of experience in the dance industry, including choreographing, competing, and leading New Zealand dance crews to the World Hip Hop Championships held in Las Vegas, Jordan is passionate about helping kids be their best!

Brooke and Starcia Oneill

With over two decades in the entertainment industry, opening for Artists such as Stan Walker, Lloyd and Ciara to name a few, Brooke and Starce also known as The Oneill Twins are no strangers to the music scene. As much as they’re known for their world class dancing (i.e dancing for Jennifer Lopez and running their own international programs) they’ve also taken the music scene by storm. Previously signed to Sony Music NZ and now independent and self-managed artists, songwriters and music producers, the twins are on mission to help our young people thrive in their creativity. It was important for them to pour back into South Auckland as they were born and bred in Manurewa and completed their schooling at Manurewa High. With a focus on empowerment, the twins strive to boost the confidence of our young people, prompting them to discover, absorb knowledge, and grow in their passions.
